TURMOIL:
This was it. One of the broken ribs had pierced his lungs. Internal bleeding would be his end! He could see his life flashing before his eyes. Good-bye, mother...!
No, wait. The flashing stopped. He was alive.
But oh, GOD! The PAIN!
"Are... are you alright? Are you hurt?"
Angrily, Benji turned his gaze towards the girl who had knocked him over. "Oh, no!" he said sarcastically, despite his pain-racked voice. "I'm just lying on the ground, clutching my sides in agony because it's the fun, cool thing to do!"
The girl looked startled at his bitter response, and backed away slightly. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..."
"Forget it," Benji cut in, wanting more than ever to get to the nurse. He sighed, and gave the older girl a weary look. "Just forget it. It wasn't your fault anyway, Miss. Someone else hurt me, all because I ran my big mouth..."
A bitter smile made its way to the small boy's face at the memory of Damon. He turned his attention back to the girl, and raised a brow at her clothing. Aquaberry...and leather? A rather unique choice for clothing. He remembered Darcy and Derby mentioning something about a new girl...
Not that he cared.

OFFICER KAY:
Anne and Kay were talking when a loud obnoxious voice cut through the chatter of the carnival. Kay's fists clenched as she recognised the voice. Damon West.
"Kay- Kay!" Anne said sharply. "He's not worth it. Just leave it," Anne knew how Kay was with Damon. Damon and the Jocks were the only people that Kay knew could beat her to the ground-but it never stopped her trying to hit them.
"And the little twerp was squirming, but i just starts crushing him in a bear hug, like he's screaming and stuff," Damon bragged to Kirby and Dan.
"Wait-" Kay trurned round sharply. "He's talking about that kid i met in the library earlier, Ben,"
"Damon hit a kid?" Anne replied, disgusted. "Wait- Kay!"
Kay had already began marching over to Damon.
"Oi, Roid Junky!" Kay shouted at him. Anne quickly made sure she had at least one fire cracker in her pocket and ran over to back Kay up.
"What'd you call me?" He said, turning to Kay. "Lookie here, the nerd is back," He guffawed stupidly.
"So, picking on little kids is the way you go about things now, West?" Kay said, her hands on her hips.
"What's it to you, lightwieght?" He growled.
"That kid happens to be my cousin," Kay lied. Anne looked confused, but didn't say anything.
"Ohh and is his big cousin coming to sort me out?" Damon taunted.
"Yeah, as a matter of fact we are," Anne said, glaring at him.
"You could flatten both of 'em, Damon," Dan said.
"Shut it you," Kay snapped at him.
"Well he's right," Damon said threateningly. "We can put you nerds in you place,"
"Well we'll just have to see about that." Kay replied nastily turning away.

SAMWICH: "Sounds like someone's 'bout to get into a brawl," Dee turned towards the shouting.
"A nasty one, too," Parker, who had accompanied Dee to the Carnival, added.
Dee giggled, pulling Parker with her, "Let's go check it out!"
"I'm not sure if that's a really good idea..." Parker scratched his head.
When the two entered the scene, Kay was getting ready to jump at Damon. Anne turned and saw Dee, "Hey! It's Dee."
Kay was too busy getting ready to beat the gut out of Damon to notice. Dee walked up to Anne, "What's this about?"
"Something about some little kid."
"Kay avenges kids? I'm surprised," Parker laughed. Dee slapped him in the arm, "Ow. Sorry..."
Dee glanced at the jocks and turned to Anne, "You're not gonna' help? I mean, Kay's dealing with Jocks here. I thought you loved beating boys up, too."
"Yeah, but I'm not sure I should interfere. It's not my fight, after all."
"Hey, it's up to you," Dee shrugged.

OFFICER KAY: Kay noticed Dee and turnd away from Damon.
"Look im not going to fight you here. I'm supposed to be working. I'll fight you in schol tommorrow," Kay snapped at Damon.
"You'd better be there, wimp!" Damon snarled, and shoved her out of the way to walk past. Kay was fuming.
"Someones had a change of heart," Dee said. "I though you hated kids,"
"I do. I'm only defending the createnous little scumbag because i hate Damon so damned much. And the kid is a nerd,"
"So your gonna fight him tommorrow?" Anne asked.
"Yeah." Kay nodded. "He'll beat me up again, but as long as i get a couple of punches in, i'll be satisfyed."
"And what if you don't?" Parker said.
"Then i'll fight him another day," Kay said grimly. "I'd better get back to work,"

SAMWICH: "Parker," Dee turned and pouted at him.
"Yeah?"
Her frown quickly turned into smile, "Can you get me a teddy bear?"
"What? Get it yourself."
"Hey! I'm a girl, you should get me something," Dee whined like a spoiled brat would when they didn't get what they wanted.
Parker rolled his eyes, "Ah, fine. But this doesn't mean I forgive you and your friends for beating Derby up."
Dee jumped and threw her arms around him, [/i]"Thankies~" Parker sighed and walked off towards the game booths.
"Wow, obedient," Anne crossed her arms and watched Parker as he walked off.
"Hey, you don't have to beat a guy up to do something," Dee giggled.
"What do you need a teddy bear for, anyway?"
"I don't know, just wanted to see if he'd listen."
Anne made a weird face.
Dee shrugged, "What?"

OFFICER KAY: Kay was grinding her teeth, and jutting her jaw, a thing she done when she was severely pissed off. Anne noticed this.
"Have some gum," She gave Kay a packet of chewing gum, and Kay ripped it open and crammed the whole lot into her mouth at once.
"Wow," Dee said. "That's kinda scary,"
Kay preeceeded to blow a huge bubble and when it popped, she seemed calmer.
"Ahhh that's better." She sighed. "I love bubblegum. Are you going with Parker?" She asked Dee suddenly.

SAMWICH: "Going with him? No.. should I be?" Dee took a quick look at Parker, who was making an attempt to dunk the midget into the tank. He took a swing, but missed by a few inches. "I should go, shouldn't I?"
Kay and Anne shrugged together.
"Man, now I feel bad for just commanding him to get me something..." Dee pouted and ran off to help Parker.
"Okay, that's not really what I meant," Kay cocked a brow.
"Oh well."

OFFICER KAY: "I meant is she going out with him... oh well," Kay muttered, going back to her job as there was a long line of people waiting to get on to the canyon coaster.

SAMWICH: Anne hung around near the Canyon Coaster. She and Kay chatted once in a while whenever there were no people in line. After a while, Dee and Parker had come back from their little game time. Dee was hugging an oversized tan-colored teddy bear.
"So you managed to get it," Kay asked while eyeing the bear.
"Yeah, it took us a while though," Dee frowned a bit, "I wish Jimmy could've gotten it for me. I heard he's really good with that "Test-your-strength" game."
"He is... he's a really tough guy," Parker admitted since he had been beaten by him a few times.
Dee suddenly shoved the giant bear into Parker's arm, causing him to fall over a bit, "I'm thirsty, hold this for me?" In a jiffy, she was off running towards the snack booth. Parker stared while he tried to regain his balance again.
Parker straightened his position and asked, "So, how'd you guys do it?"
Kay looked puzzled, "Do what?"
"Y'know, how did you manage to beat both, Bif and Derby?"

MEMAI:
"Just forget it. It wasn't your fault anyway, Miss. Someone else hurt me, all because I ran my big mouth..."
A tinge of guilt had raced through Roxy's veins, "Here, I'll... I'll help you, if... if you want." Benji took note of the bag she carried; white with a red cross on it. Was she a medical student? He could care less, why place all trust in this one girl? Nurse McRae had been a familiar face to him, to the point that they had a chair and corner to themselves. "You don't have to trust me, I'll... I'll take you to the nurses, if you'd like." Roxy extended a hand for the boy to take, and he was no fool. Quickly grabbing it, the pallid girl hoisted him up, being ever so careful, not wanting to hurt him anymore.
She put a hand to his rib, much to Benji's displeasure, gingerly feeling one or two, "Tell me, does it hurt when you breathe, or does it—" She stopped short of her sentence, feeling a hand grab her shoulder. Roxy turned, and yelped, "Derby!"
"Hello there, Roxanne," he smiled sinisterly, "Playing nice, are we?" She noticed his lip had a small cut, probably from the fight earlier. "Pity you couldn't be there for your friends, like me."
Roxy grew suspicious of the Prep, until she noticed a smaller blonde standing behind him, "It seems you've a little friend."
"Oh no..." Benji groaned, "Darcy!"
"Hey, Ben-Ben," The girl came closer to the boy, "You look terrible, are you sick?"
"No," he answered curtly, "Some stupid jock came over and beat me up."
"BEN-BEN!!!" Darcy was ready to move in for a hug, but was stopped short by Roxy.
"Dear, his chest hurts. If you hug him, he'll be dead by the time you're done."
Innocent and naive, she had no real depth on death, but knew it was terrible all the same. So instead, she held his hand with a fighting grip, "That's okay. My Ben-Ben tough."
"Do... do you know him?" Roxy turned to Derby, with a small dose of fear displaying in her eyes. Who could blame her? She was alone now with the fiend, hardly anyone knew the real trouble between the both of them. If he so wished to ravish her at the back of the building, he would.
"Ah, yes. Benjamin," Derby messed the boy's hair up, "Yes, we've been acquainted. He's been to my glorious abode a few times now, as I'm sure you'll let me into your's somewhere in the near future."
"What makes you so sure of that?" Roxy let out a haughty laugh, one so true to Prep-fashion, Benji could hardly believe she wore a leather jacket, "I certainly don't let trash inside my nice clean house."
"Trash? Babe, you seem to have been mistaken. The boys YOU like, are trash. When the boys you SHOULD like, aren't. Don't worry, you'll get it right."
"Derby..."
He grabbed her hand and brought it up, looking at her with a twinkle in his eyes, "Oh, don't worry about me, gorgeous, I'll have my little revenge on your friends for putting a nick on this wonderfully sculpted face." A poisonous kiss to her pale fingers, "Now run along before your mummy faints in worry."
"I hate you..." She jerked herself off the taller boy's frame, quickly running in frightened steps to the garage.
"As do I... but not until I've my hands on your money." He whispered, letting the evening wind carry his sinister plot.

SAMWICH: "I don't think anyone has beaten Bif or Derby since... Jimmy Hopkins."
Kay laughed, "Is he embarrassed that he was beaten by 'trash' like us?"
"No, just surprised. But I do think he's planning revenge, I'm sure you guys would know that."
"Doesn't he ever learn?"
Just then, Dee had come running back with a beam cola, "I'm baack." He opened the can and took a sip, "Want some?" She held the can at Kay.
"Sure," Kay smiled and took the can.
"Ah," Parker took a look at his watch, "Tad's expecting me soon. I need to go." He held the bear out for Dee.
"Oh, thanks," Dee grabbed the bear, "bye!" Parker waved as he ran off. "So," Dee said suddenly, "what were you guys talking about?"
Kay folded her arms, cola still in hand, "Nothing much, but it seems like Derby's a bit pissed about getting beaten by a buncha' girls."
"You gotta' clue me in on a few things," Anne tilted her head slightly, looking a bit baffled.
"Yeah, I'll tell you later," Kay looked a bit angry, "but for now, we gotta' be prepared for anything Derby throws at us."
--
Ben stared at the tall, blond boy as he walked off, Darcy following behind him.
"What is he planning," the tiny boy thought to himself. "Whatever that was back there, it didn't look good." He gingerly moved his finger around his ribs, "Ow... so much for taking me to the nurse.." He thought of Roxy, still puzzled about the fact that she wore, both, Aquaberry and a leather jacket.
It wasn't a very nice day for Ben. First, he gets a bone broken by a jock, then he gets kicked out of his chair by a nerd, and now, he's completely confused about Derby and Roxy. The short boy straightened his hair, but it didn't look any neater than before. "Looks like I'll be heading to the nurse's office alone."

OFFICER KAY:
Kay and Anne were walking back to Bullworth now that Kay's shift had ended. She decided to take this time to tell her everything that had been gong on.
"Ermmm," Kay forgot that Anne didn't know what was going on. "We had a bit of a fight with the preps. Roxy, Dee and Peanut played a prank on Derby Harrington, itwas actually quite funny they- wait, right it doesn't matter, but the point is he's went all homicidal and tried to beat us up, So Dee and I kicked soe ass while Peanut totally served Derby. Then Bif comes charging out of nowhere and blacked my eye. So i beat him. Hard. But the kniving bastard snuck up on me as i walked away, but that little squirt Ben hit him on the fore head. So i suppose we're all wrapped up in this now," Kay pointed to her and Dee.
"Me too," Anne asid.
"You don't have to, you weren't there," Kay said.
"I'll back you up though," She insisted. "Kay, when have we ever not backed each other up?"
"True that," Kay said thoughfully.
"And your fighting with Damon tommorrow too," Anne said reproachfully.
"Wel i'll have to fight dirty then," Kay said slyly. "I'll get up early and recruit the Nerds. We need them tommorrow. "
"Cool," Anne said, nodding.
X-x-X
The next day, Kay actually got up on her alarm. It was a rainy day. Her favourite. The sun made her grumpy. She padded up the sleeping girl's dorm towards Anne's room. "Anne!" She hissed.
"Wha-?" She grunted, rubbing her eye.
"Get up. We need to go see the Nerds," Kay said.
"This early? Do the nerds not sleep?" Anne asked indignantly.
"Just get up!" Kay prodded her repeatedly until Anne batted her away with a Math text book.
Kay ran back to her room to get dressed and decided that if she had a fight on her hnads to wear her 'fighting' cloths. She wore a black ves top and a grey, black and red tracksuit jacket with a par of baggy jeans and her all important riot boots.
When she brushed her hair through and put on her sunglasses despite the rain, Anne was leaning on her doorframe, fully clothed and ready.
"C'mon," Kay said.
Anne yawned in response.
They went over the grounds, which were mercifully empty towards the library.
"We've got an emergency," Kay announced as she stepped in the library doors where the nerds were getting a bit of early studytime.
"What?" Earnest asked, annoyed.
"The Jocks wanna fight me, and i need you guys to hold off his cronies while i kick his ass." She said. "And if any of you chicken out on me, i'll let Anne but you up," Anne nodded.
"We won't chicken out, Kay, I promise!" Bucky said, thumping his chest proudly.
"I get my yard thtick!" Thad lisped.
"We brave knights will fight to strike down the dishonerable knaves that are the jocks!" Melvin said, brandishing pencil savagely.
"I don't know..."Beatrice began.
"Look, miss prissy, no one's forcing you," Kay snapped, her dislike of Beatrice intensifying. "But it' the last time i save your butt from Mandy,"
"Erm... Okay then, i'll find something for me to do," She murmured.
"And what if we get beaten to a pulp?!" Earnest asked her angrily.
"What the jocks give you is nothing on what i'll do!" Anne warned him, rubbing her knuckles.
"That's agreed then!" Kay grinned at them all. "Weapons. We need weapons!"

MEMAI: It was silent, that one morning. The birds were quiet and nothing seemed to move, the sky still painted a blue and purple hue over the fair town of Bullworth. It was only an hour away before anyone of the right mind would get up and brace the new day, but Roxy was already up, sitting up on her grand bed and contemplating.
She had heard the maids and house help wake up, getting out their mops and brooms to keep the Smith mansion spotless and presentable. She sighed, looking out the window. "Harrington..." She whispered. From her large windows, she could see Derby's house. They both lived on fairly large grounds, but they were still 'neighbours', a concept Derby had yet to understand. Especially after his little threat the day before.
He was cunning and sly, manipulative and quick, all for his own needs and desires. "You won't get a single penny from daddy's bank." She pouted, "And you won't get a single inch of my skin either," Roxy spat the words out. Just before she would decide for another fifteen minutes on her bed, her mother had come it. "Mummy."
"My, you're up early Roxy. Something troubling you, or are you just excited to go?" A smile.
"A... A little bit of both. I made some new friends at school. They're... they're really nice. Especially this one boy," Roxy blushed lightly as the image of Peanut flashed through her mind. "But... ah... there was a fight, yesterday. Derby was in it. I'm... kinda scared."
"Oh, yes. His mother's been telling me about it all day yesterday. Those ruffian children. Why, you would think in this day and age they would behave a little better. Maybe dress up nicer, now that I think about it."
It stings... She knew exactly who her dear mother had been talking about. But decided against saying anything. For one, her mother was true about them being poor, unfashionable, angry and loud. Yet, though the traits listed were all apparent in their behaviour, they were simply lovable human quirks compared to their kindness and grounded beliefs.
"Oh, look." Her mother pointed out. "Speak of the devil, it's Derby!" She turned to her daughter, "Oh darling, let's have him for breakfast, hmm? Hurry and take a nice bath, dress up and come down. A little treat for the dear wouldn't be so bad. After what happened to him yesterday and whatnot. Not to mention he simply ADORES you!"
"Oh... umm. Okay..."
"Quickly, while I have Benny call him in!"
She did as she was told. Dragging her feet if only to slow the minutes down to her encounter with the Harrington Devil.

OFFICER KAY: Meanwhile Raxy was dining unwillingly with the enemy, Kay, Anne, the nerds, some of the Greasers and Dee were all sitting in the grounds of the autoshop.
"Man im hugry," Hal groaned, leaning over. "So am i, but there's no time for food at a time like this," Kay said to him. "They could attack us at any moment. We must be viligant," She paced up and down the autoshop, lookig over the wall suspiciously.
"Is she always like this?" Ricky muttered to Dee. Dee grinned and nodded. "It's great isn't it?" She laughed.
"It's too early," Grumbled Algie.

TURMOIL: "Benji...Benji, wake up!"
"UGH." The wheat-blonde boy groaned as he shifted uncomfortably in his bed. Who in their right mind was disturbing him? He had low blood pressure, fractured ribs, and shitload of healing to do. Woe betide the unfortunate fool who disturbed his sleep!
He opened a weary eye...
...and saw Pedro de la Hoya standing above him, his eyes all wide and fearful.
Ugh.
"Somebody better be dying," Benji grumbled into his pillow. "Wha' izzit, Pedro? I have the day off from MacRae for getting injured. Leave me alone."
"B-but Benji--" Pedro began, before Benji cut him off.
"If you wet the bed again, Miss Peabody'll take care of it. Let me sleep, damn you!"
"But BENJI!" Pedro wailed. "There's a fight between the Nerds and Jocks! Karen told me that it's really brutal!"
"..."
"..."
"And I should care because...?"
"Um..." Pedro blinked, before he cocked his head to the side. "Aren't you a Nerd?"
A twitch went off in Benji's left eye. "No."
"Oh." Pedro blushed in embarassment, before he stared awkwardly at his red chucks. "Well, I just thought...since you're so smart and all..."
"No," Benji repeated, more harshly this time. He then caught Pedro's flustered look, before he sighed. "You know what? Since I'm awake anyway, let's go see the stupid fight."
Pedro immediately brightened. "Really?"
"Yah-huh. You looked so forlorn when I said no...but who's fighting, anyway?"
"Oh! Um..." The Hispanic boy thought for a moment. "Damon and some really scary girl Nerd...I think she's that really tall one with long brown hair...Kay, I think."
At first, the name didn't quite register in Benji's head. But a second later...
"Oh crap."
