Still crouched down behind that rock, Kay was shivering.
"Fuckit," She cracked out of chapped lips. She searched all over her clothing. In her bra and down her socks and eventually found, to her immense delight; one tiny screw driver, a very small tube of superglue that was almost finnished and her nintendo DS which she'd sewn into the linnen of her jeans to save her from boredom on the bus (Gibbs had given her the idea a few summers before).
At once she opened the back of the small piece of gaming fun and began to mess with the process devices for the WiFi connections.
Max out the wave length and take the amplitude down...
She then turned on the DS. A normal kid would have had a game to acess or perhaps picto-chat? No. Kay had spent last winter intalling Linux on her DS and completely wiped her DS of any of it's original uses. She had been using it as a mass storage device and was intending to link up with her laptop on the bus and muck around. But of course, her laptop had probably been snatched now or half crushed to death.
She tapped the screen to search for a Wi Fi signal in the area. But of course, now due to her alterations, she would be searching for signals sent out by mobile phones, which she would now have the power to intercept and possibly communicate using the mic.
Also, if the connection was strong it would mean they were near and vice versa.
And now she waits.

"REL?" Roxy tried to say something, but REL ran and jumped through a set of bushes, disappearing thereafter.
"Let her go, babe. Bitch ain't worth it. I mean, you think anyone's gonna miss her after all she did? She'll be the one kid everyone is GLAD got lost. Besides, one less prep we gotta deal with."
"..."
She was running because she was scared. Because plummeting herself into the deepest part of the woods without giving herself a chance to think was all she could do that wouldn't allow her to become doubtful of her choices. Because she would give up if she had the choice to go back to safety much longer. Huh. Road experience. How drole. She only had the experience of doing what she had to when she didn't have a choice. So if she didn't get lost looking, she'd follow those ruby red tree stump markings all the way back to the bus. Where else could she go. Hell, out of all the times she's lost it, why not go completely insane here?
Brrrzt Brrzzt
Her... Cellphone?
REL reached in her bra and open the fold, not recognizing the caller... who didn't even seem to have an actual number, anyway.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"...REL? Shit, REL, is that you? God, you're with the others aren't you? Hell yeah, I'm saved!"
"...Adams, I regret to inform you..."
(EPIC FAIL)

"... What? Regret?..."
"I'm not with the others,"
"It doesn't matter! Just please-!"
"I can't Adams. I have more significant people to be finding."
"REL! PLEASE! You don't understand how desperate I am. I can't handle this out here!"
She sure sounded desperate. Desperate enough to do anything?

Roger sat on the ground near the wrecked bus, tracing circles in the dirt with a stick. Ray sat beside him, scratching Xs with a stick. A heated tick-tack-toe battle was underway, for the billionth time that day. If only Maddie's DS hadn't died, they could be playing some serious Phoenix Wright right then. Or NintenDogs or something else that wasn't boring.
Roger glanced back at the bus, where Maddie had gone to take a nap. She'd been freaking out for about two forevers, but now it looked like she was running out of steam. It was hard to tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing."Cunningham." Roger looked up as Trent Northwick dropped something onto his lap, something soft, wrapped in plastic wrap. He flinched instinctively, expecting the bully to shove his face into the dirt or kick him or something. The bully was standing right behind him, a little too close for comfort.
But he didn't attack, which was weird. Roger looked at the thing in his lap, suspicious. It was some kind of bread or cake or something, and appeared to've been partially eaten. Roger glanced at Ray, who watched him apprehensively, then looked up at Trent."What's this?" "It's food," said Trent, almost defensively, "What's it look like?" Roger furrowed his brow, cracking a small smile. The scab on his lower lip split open just a little bit, and he cringed at the sting. "What's this about?" "What's what?" Trent growled, "Just eat it." And with that, the older boy stalked away. Roger fire a "thank you" in his direction, then turned to Ray. The overweight blonde shrugged, and Roger returned the gesture. He carefully unwrapped the food and took a bite. It was sweet and tangy and just a little sour - some kind of lemon cake, it seemed. Roger offered a chunk to Ray and stood up."I'm gonna go check on Maddie," he said, taking another bite. "She'sh prolly hungry." He crossed the crowd of bashed-up and bewildered Bullworthians and crept quietly into the busted bus. Maddie was lying on her side on one of the seats. From this angle, Roger couldn't tell if she was awake or not. He stepped forward, careful not to make too much noise, and made his way over to where she was resting.((Hope this is OK - I wasn't really sure how I should squeeze Roger into this one.))

Lane stared wildly at the DS Kay was holding. There was a VOICE, a real human sounding VOICE coming out of it. The flimsy girl grabbed Kay's wrist and yanked it towards her so as to have the DS mic in speaking range, though her weak arms were hardly useful in the situation.
"Please, you have got to help us, ma'am! We need to get out of these woods!"
Her voice was shrill and pained, as slowly the memories of why exactly she was running through the woods came back to her. It seemed Kay's presence would only function as a temporary security blanket. Tears began to form in her eyes, and she gripped Kay's wrist with all the strength she had left, in hope that her desperation would transfer through the small electronic device and phase the female on the other end.

"Hey!" Kay exclaimed a little, but here eyes caught to the girl's frantic, wide ones.
...
Please come for us... Kay begged some other worldly force just to let that voice on the other end bring good news.
