Awesome!
But what IS it?
A very good question ;D This little ol' thread here is going to try and humanly list down all the possible resource sites not just for artists, but also for those who take photography, cosplays, sculpting, videos, music and even writing!
Why? Why not! I know some of us have our little hole in the wall websites that are chock full of delicious, helpful things like textures, fonts, Photoshop goodies, tutorials and more.
Because this is going to be an ever expanding thread (I hope), you guys can submit links to post up here! Just let us know the NAME of the website, the ADDRESS, and possibly, a category and WHY you think it's a helpful site
Onwards!
Hosting!
It's always important to save your documents, even more important to store your image somewhere on the internet quickly when posting it up on forums/blogs/whathaveyou.
Photobucket
I'm pretty sure everyone's familiar with these guys. Warning though, they do tend to resize images, so try to keep it at a fairly moderate size so you won't lose quality.
Imageshack
For those post-and-run deals; you don't need to sign up, unlike Photobucket, and it's fairly straightforward (I like), no tagging or album nonsense, just upload a picture of yours, grab the URL and post away.
Windows Live SkyDrive
Very handy for Hotmail and Windows Live users. Basically, you get 25 GIGS of storage space all up to you! You can lock folders, share them with friends and even make them public so others can view! They can even host much larger images too.
DropBox
www.dropbox.com/
Download. Install.
Put your file/picture in the 'public' folder.
Right click >dropbox>Copy public link.
Paste link into your post.
It's that easy and it's much more secure than online hosting.
