I've really been wanting to know if any of the Pros on here have been using any special art programs for their work. I really want to do some artwork on my character and make it look good as Memai and Professor Pineapple (not their style of artwork, just the paint concepts.). My hand isn't as steady, so I'm trying to work on that. I'm looking for a program that has alot of different paint tools that make it look smoother. Help anyone?

Paint tool SAI
I just got it (*cough*sure"got"it*cough*) and it's amazing. I don't draw, however I have been dolling and they've been coming along amazingly.

Someone comparing my art to Memai's jshgadsfdhags ; w;
I use GIMP2. It's like an intensely ghetto version of SAI (no fancy brushes or anything) but it has layers, which is good enough for me. It's totally free, too!
As is SAI, if you look around, but for some reason I can't get SAI torrents to work on my computer.

Damn, the thing is, I'm a drawer.
I'm steady by pencil, but not by mouse (which drives me insane). I just need smoother tools...

Mouse is hard to draw with. Mousepads are even worse. Thank goodness my mom bought me a tablet XD
But you could always scan your hand-drawn work, resize it, and color it in a layering program like SAI or Gimp.

I use a wacom bamboo tablet - it works really well! And it was only about 90-something dollars, which is cheap for a tablet, or so I've heard. A bunch of different artists that I admire had recommended it to me :>

Wacom Bamboo Tablet is ~*BAMF*~, baby.
Not kidding.
Also, I used Photoshop CS5, and Paint Tool Sai. I personally prefer PS-CS5 since its actually easier for me to use, although Paint Tool Sai is rather efficient too!
