Is there a fourth E in "development"? Anyway...
As you guys can see, I'm having a lot of trouble with Roger. I created him a couple months ago, and since then I've been screwing around with his storyline and personality and whatnot. Now that I've finally found a roleplay I can use him in, I'm not really sure who he is. He's so boring and generic, and I'm not sure how to fix him without turning him into a Stu.
I guess I want him to be one of those outgoing kinda people, the kind who make a lot of on-the-spot decisions without thinking them through. The kinda "adventurous" type, y'know? But I don't think I know how to go about writing him like that.
Um, does that make any sense?? Sorry, I suck at wording these kindsa things.

Well, to be honest, Development is a sort of in-work training.
Kay was a totally diffenrt character when i first started developing her. Strangely, she's BECOME boring and genericized (Is that even a real word?) over time. I guess im just trying too hard not to make her a sue.
Just keep going with Roger and he'll form himself.

The thing with a Bully character is that they need to be sue-ish to some extent, because they need to be mock-able. That's the great thing about all of the people at Bullworth is that they're funny. The only way you're sue at Bullworth is if everyone loves you, you're an angel, etc... Traits that are obviously sue-ish. For every trait that defies the laws of Bully (ex: mixed cliques) there must be something in place to counter act it (See: Justin).
Anyway, as Kay said, the best to establish a character is to play them. Their colors will show through as they go from scenario to scenario.

I'm afraid I wasn't sure where else to put this question so I figured this'd be a good place as any.
At what age do Americans leave school? I'm assuming it's 18 or around then.

Some leave at 19 if I'm not mistaken But I think that's all about how old you were at the beginning of a semester or what not. My boyfriend studied in an American system and most of his class graduated at 19 (though there were some who also left at 16). 18 is the usual age most people leave highschool :>
